These online groups are limited to four participants each, creating an environment that fosters honest conversation and individual attention.

You don't need to be in crisis. You don't need to have everything figured out. You just need to be willing to engage the process and be vulnerable.

| What is The Freedom Process? |
The Freedom Process is a practical discipleship framework designed by Cultivate Relationships to help you identify unhealthy patterns in your life, explore what may be happening beneath them, and intentionally cultivate healthier ways of living. Rather than simply focusing on changing behaviors, the process helps you better understand your story, recognize what influences your choices, and invite God into the process of moving toward greater freedom.
| Who are Freedom Groups for? |
Freedom Groups are for anyone who wants to intentionally grow through vulnerability and cultivate greater peace of mind. You may recognize an unhealthy behavior or recurring pattern, feel stuck in a particular area, or simply want to better understand yourself and how your story influences the way you live today. You don’t need to be in crisis or struggling with addiction — The Freedom Process is designed to help you honestly engage wherever you are and take intentional steps toward greater wholeness.
Freedom Groups are gender-based, with men and women participating in separate groups. Because the process involves personal reflection and honest conversation, we also highly recommend that family members participate in different groups whenever possible. This gives each person the space to engage their own process and share openly without the added dynamics that can come from having a family member in the same group. After completing the group, you are always welcome to share your own process and what you discovered with your spouse, family members, or friends — while continuing to respect the privacy of the other participants and their stories.

| What happens during the six weeks? |
The first week introduces The Freedom Process and uses several discovery tools to help you identify areas you may want to explore. Over the next five weeks, the group progressively works through The Freedom Booklet together. Each week, you’ll complete a portion of the booklet on your own and then come together to share what you discovered, learn from one another, and continue taking the next steps through the process. All resources required are included on the Freedom Group hub.
| What will I be expected to share with the group? |
Freedom Groups are built around honest conversation, so you’ll be encouraged to share what you’re discovering as you work through The Freedom Process. However, you are always responsible for deciding what and how much you share. The goal isn’t forced vulnerability, but creating a safe environment where each person can honestly engage the process, learn from one another, and grow together.
| Is what I share confidential? |
We want Freedom Groups to be a safe place for honest conversation. Participants are expected to respect one another’s privacy and keep personal information shared within the group confidential. However, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed, and there are certain situations in which a group facilitator may be legally required to report or respond to information that is shared (especially when it comes to unprosecuted felonies). These expectations and limitations will be clearly discussed before your group begins.

| How much work is required between meetings? |
The Freedom Process is designed to be actively engaged throughout the week, not simply during your group meeting. You’ll complete steps within the process and engage with other assigned resources before each meeting. Most participants should plan for about two hours each week outside the group, although this may vary depending on how deeply you choose to engage the process.
| What happens if I miss a meeting? |
Because everyone progresses through The Freedom Process together, consistent attendance is an important part of the group experience. We understand that unexpected circumstances happen, so if you need to miss a meeting, communicate with your group facilitator as soon as possible. They’ll help you determine how to stay on track with the group. Because of the short six-week format, we encourage participants to choose a group where they can commit to attending all six meetings whenever possible.
| Is a Freedom Group counseling or therapy? |
Freedom Groups are a discipleship-based ministry experience, not licensed professional counseling or therapy. While the process involves honestly exploring your story, behaviors, relationships, and areas of personal growth, it does so through a biblical discipleship framework, led by prayer, Scripture, and the help of a group facilitator. Freedom Groups are not intended to diagnose or treat mental health conditions or replace care from a licensed medical or mental health professional.
Freedom Groups are designed for participants who are able to intentionally and independently engage The Freedom Process within a small-group environment. They are not designed to provide crisis intervention or intensive mental health, medical, or addiction treatment. If we believe another level or type of support would better serve you, we’ll discuss that with you during the discovery process and, when possible, help point you toward an appropriate next step.

| Do I need to be a Christian to participate? |
You do not need to have everything figured out spiritually to participate in a Freedom Group. However, The Freedom Process is intentionally rooted in Christian discipleship, the Christian Scriptures, and approaches growth through relationship with God. Throughout the process, you’ll be encouraged to engage with Jesus, the Heavenly Father, and the Holy Spirit as you explore your story and what you’re discovering. You don’t have to come with all the answers, but you should be open to participating within this biblical framework.
| What happens after I request a "Discovery Call"? |
After submitting the request form, we’ll contact you via email to schedule a brief discovery call via Zoom. This gives us an opportunity to learn a little more about you, answer any questions you may have, and determine together whether a Freedom Group is a good next step. If so, you’ll receive an invitation to register for an upcoming group. If another resource or form of support may better serve you, we’ll help point you in that direction.
| What is the payment and refund policy? |
Because Freedom Groups are intentionally limited to four participants, your registration reserves a space that may otherwise have been offered to someone else. Cancellations made at least 7 days before your group begins are eligible for a full refund. After that time, payments are generally non-refundable.
We understand that unexpected circumstances happen. If you are unable to begin or complete your group, please contact us.
If Cultivate Ministries cancels your group, you may choose to receive a full refund or transfer your registration to another available group.

Statement of Understanding
STATEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING
Cultivate Ministries, Inc. provides biblically based Christian ministry intended to encourage spiritual growth, discipleship, healing, wholeness, and healthy life change. Our Cultivate Ministers seek to minister according to Scripture and in dependence upon the Holy Spirit, helping participants grow as Spirit-filled disciples of Jesus through biblical guidance, prayer, encouragement, teaching, and practical support.
Nature and Scope of Ministry
Cultivate Ministers do not represent themselves as licensed professional counselors, therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, medical providers, attorneys, or other licensed professionals and should not be understood as providing those professional services. Ministry provided through Cultivate Ministries is not a substitute for licensed professional counseling, clinical therapy, psychiatric or medical care, legal counsel, emergency services, or other professional services when those services are appropriate or necessary.
Although Cultivate Ministers may have significant ministry experience, training, and education, the services provided by Cultivate Ministries are religious and discipleship-based in nature. Participants remain responsible for their own decisions, actions, health, and well-being and are encouraged to seek appropriate licensed or professional assistance when needed.
Cultivate Ministries and its Ministers reserve the right to determine whether a particular need or circumstance falls outside the appropriate scope of our ministry and may recommend, require, or facilitate referral to an appropriate professional or emergency resource when reasonably necessary.
Biblical Foundation
Our ministry is explicitly Christian. Participants should understand that Scripture, prayer, the teachings of Jesus, dependence upon the Holy Spirit, personal responsibility, repentance, forgiveness, and other Christian beliefs and practices may be incorporated into ministry conversations and activities.
Our goal is not to produce change through human effort alone but to facilitate, teach, encourage, and walk alongside participants as they willingly engage with God and take responsibility for their own growth. We recognize that ultimately the Holy Spirit—not the Cultivate Minister—produces spiritual transformation.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Information shared with Cultivate Ministers will generally be treated as private and handled with reasonable care. However, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in all circumstances.
Cultivate Ministries may disclose information when required or permitted by applicable law; when there is reasonable concern regarding abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a child, elderly person, or vulnerable person; when there is reasonable concern of serious or imminent harm to you or another person; when disclosure is required through valid legal process; or when disclosure is otherwise reasonably necessary to protect the safety of those involved.
For legitimate ministry, training, supervision, accountability, or assistance purposes, a Cultivate Minister may consult with another appropriate Cultivate Minister or, when reasonably necessary, an outside professional. When doing so, Cultivate Ministries will seek to limit disclosure to information reasonably necessary for that purpose.
Because Cultivate Ministries may provide ministry online to participants located in different jurisdictions, applicable confidentiality, reporting, and disclosure requirements may vary according to applicable law.
Online Ministry
When participating in ministry online, participants are responsible for choosing a reasonably private and appropriate environment from which to participate. Cultivate Ministries cannot guarantee the privacy or security of the participant's physical environment, personal devices, internet connection, or other technology outside of Cultivate Ministries' reasonable control.
Participants agree to provide their current physical location when reasonably requested for safety or emergency purposes. If a situation arises that appears to require emergency or professional intervention, Cultivate Ministries may contact emergency services, law enforcement, an appropriate professional, or another appropriate person when reasonably necessary and permitted by law.
Participant Responsibility
Participation in Cultivate Ministries is voluntary. Participants are responsible for determining whether the ministry offered is appropriate for them and for communicating concerns, limitations, or circumstances that may affect their participation.
Participation does not guarantee any particular spiritual, emotional, relational, behavioral, or other outcome. Cultivate Ministers facilitate and support the process, but participants remain responsible for their own choices, actions, and engagement.
By participating in ministry provided by Cultivate Ministries, Inc., you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Statement of Understanding and agree to participate within the scope and limitations described above.
